Ivan Shutko was born in 1944 in Uzhgorod. He studied violin with L.Tovt at Uzhorod Musical College and with prof.D.Lekher at L'viv State Conservatory. Since 1968 he was a violin teacher at L'viv S.Krushel'nyts'ka Specialized School. He had more than 50 graduates. A lot of his students were the winners of national and international competitions. His students often appears as a soloists with symphony and chamber orchestras and give recitals. Ivan Shutko was one of the leading violin teachers in Ukraine. He gave lectures about art of string instruments.
Ivan Shutko died in 2003 in L'viv.
